Members EricJohn
I put a guitar on layaway but financial difficulties have come up and I won't be able to get the guitar within the time Guitar Center allows layaway. Does anyone know the policy as far as the 25% down I gave them? Am I ass out of that money? Do they give me store credit at least? Eric
Members Angry Tele
Im pretty sure youre face down ass up on the 25%, especially this time of year as all their layways must be out by Jan1st (IIRC)...but, cant hurt to talk to them. Ive only put 1 thing on layaway at GC and it was my CVC tele, I literally found enough change in my couch to pay it off after 1 week.
Members EricJohn
What about wanting to go to something less expensive? I put a Casino on layaway but can't swing it. Was thinking maybe a Classic Vibe Strat or a Dot. That's more manageable. Would they allow the switch?
Members Deadbeat Son
Why not pick up the phone and ask? Getting the story straight from the source beats third party conjecture.

Was actually planning to do that But conjecture is so much more exciting!

The whole TADA! with layaway is they take it off the sales floor so it doesnt have a chance to sell. All GCs are different so you gotta talk to them. Members STRANDMAN
GC's lay away policy is very simple. First they lay you and then they send you away.
