This is Rolling Stone Magazines Top 100 Guitarist list of all time (in their "professional" opinion) ......they say the list was based on creativity, style, and raw talent.

As you look through this.....

What placements do you agree/disagree with?

Whose placement on the list is like a joke to you?

Who in your opinion shouldn't even be on the list?

Who isn't there that needs to be?

To quote the words/lyrics of Frank Zappa, "Strictly Commercial"

But it's not only that, it's also the narrow focus that the RS magazine uses.

"Best guitarists" is a topic that few men, let along children journalists, should tackle. I know it needs to be done and readers want it to be done, but their results are always such utter bull{censored} if the context is taken literally.

Ed Bradley's 60 Minutes interview with Bob Dylan:

Bradley (as voiceover) That song ["Like A Rolling Stone"] was recently named by Rolling Stone magazine as the No. 1 song of all time. And he has 12 other songs on their list of the Top 500.

Bradley (to Dylan): That must be good to have as part of your legacy.

Dylan: Oh, maybe this week. But you know, the list, they change names, and you know, quite frequently, really. I don't really pay much attention to that.

Bradley: But it's a pat on the back.

Dylan: This week it is, but who's to say how long that's gonna last?

Jeff Beck at #14? I am willing to bet Jeff Beck has had guitar techs better than some of the guys ranked above him on that list.

EVH at #70? Give me a break...........

When I look at that list it is obvious it was made by people that don't play guitar or understand music.

I like their magazine, I wish they would stop with the top 100 list crap.

Eddie Van Halen = #70

Nearvarna's Kurt Cobain = #12

Kurt Hamster ahead of Jeff Beck, the editors most be terminally {censored}tarded.

They should change the name of the rag to Rolling Tard Magazine.

Well Cobain wasn't the greatest guitar player but man that guy could write. I think this list combines both, so i can see why he is that high on the list.
