I REALLY want a Telecaster but I already have a strat style guitar and a LP. So I don't think I need any more vintage tones at the moment. I have the Hellraiser with EMGs. I'm looking for something with humbuckers to cover hard rock to metal territory. I don't care about actives so passives are fine. I've had my eye on an Explorer for a wile. I've never tried the 500t p'ups. How do they compare to the 81/85? Or maybe I can try and trade it for a 5150. Something buzzy and aggressive.... I bought my Schecter for only $200-$300. Even with the 18v mod it's very lifeless. I want a decently hot passive humbucker that doesn't have vomit inducing cleans. Cleans slightly better than EMGs are all I ask! Maybe Duncan Distortion?
