Members HP Hovercraft
How about the Johnny Marr jag? I love mine. I think they're still kind of scarce at the moment, though.
Members LesPaulFetish
I can't find one with the piezo in my area, although that would be really nice to check out. I would think if you dig the regular model, the ones with the piezo would be more or less the same. If they're good enough for Petrucci, they're good enough for us mortals

Members HP Hovercraft
What do you love about it? It sounds amazing, is versatile, and fun to play. Plus it looks rad. It was a fairly big step-up in quality for me, though, coming from a MIM Tele.
Members xrleroyx
Update: I'd like to spend around $1,200 at most. Maybe a little more if I decide to order a custom Carvin. I'd like to buy a thin skin Jazzmaster, but those are very hard to find apparently. Might just go with an AVRI.
Members LameAim
Have you considered a Hagstrom? Maybe a Deuce or a Viking?
Members xrleroyx
Have you considered a Hagstrom? Maybe a Deuce or a Viking? I just searched that. Wow, pretty good value on the used market.
Members sk8centilli
For $1200, you should contact Roy Toepper at RT Custom Guitars. He's just south of you (aren't you in the GR area?) and makes guitars to order. Incredible work. http://www.rtcustomguitars.com/

Appreciate that you have choices on scale length; I'm personally used to the Fender scale.
Members grunge782
Hagstrom is a good option. I really like their swedes. Here is another option- http://www.godinguitars.com/godin5thaveseriesp.htm You can get them for around 500-700 new (on Evilbay) which is crazy for those options. I'd also check out richmond- http://www.richmondguitarscanada.com/news.html I know this is on the cheaper end but maybe even check out a good Ibanez artist or a Schecter.
