HELP ... Remo Ebony Pinstripe or Emperor?

Guys, I need your help ... I have no idea how the Remo Ebony Pinstripe or Emperor's sounding ... I am going to replace my Pinstripe with one of them. Could you please help me ... thanks before ...

The Emperors gives the drums a more open and resonating sound than with Pinstripes..............I think that the only difference between Ebony pinstripes and the regular Pinstripes is the look..........but I

I think ebony heads sound just a little different... maybe somewhere between a clean and coated head, leaning a little closer tonally to a clear one. I've used 'em a couple times and they sounded fine. I remember having an ebony Powerstroke on my kick and really liking the sound.

 

I agree with everyone else- the Emperors are a little more resonant and not as "wet" sounding. They're probably more versitaile...

I have used both Pinstripe and Ebony Pinstripe. There IS a differance! The ebony is a little thicker, and has a slightly darked wetter tone. I would go for them, they sound nice and dont wear vary fast.

of course Thats just my opinon, I swited to Evens
