Members Nagi
I just received my new custom sticks last Friday they are D=.590 L=16.75 they are all most just like the Anton Fig sig. stick by Vic Firth. I got 6 pairs nylon tip and 6 pairs wood tip and they only cost me $2.85 per pair(us) the sticks hold up really well and you can't beat the price and there is no middle man making a profit on the sticks. What make are they? Anyway, I'm switching models all the time:For really extreme styff I use my trusty old Ahead 5A's. I play that kind of music very rarely so it's about a year since I've last used those.Nowadays I use a pair of Vater hickory 5A's with wood tips. For a while I used Pro Mark 747 rock's but since theyr'e longer than regular 5A's I found the balance to be a bit awkward at times. Then I use Vater 7A's on and off. Still, regular Vater 5A's are my sticks right now.
Members elevate
I used to use the Zildjian Vinnie Colaiuta and Vater Fusion models, but a few months ago I picked up a pair of Trueline Danny Care models, and I think I've found my new stick. If you've never tried a pair of Trueline sticks, I'd recommend you give em a try - they've got that bulge near the bottom of the stick where your palm goes. They are made by Jeff Rich in NewHampshire.I also used Promarks 747B's but I wanted a stick a bit thinner and Jeff will make them in the Length and Dia. that you like. I think he also make's exact copies of most popular stick models.Oh yeah he make's copies of Vater 5A'S I was reading reviews on his sticks and one guy said he couldn't tell the difference in feelbetween the Vater and the copy stick. Members Blastem
Vic Firth (SD-9 Maple) Those of you who may be having hand problems (Tingling, Cramps, knombness, etc.) Try Maple!! The Vic Firth seems to hold up the best?? I play rock and break maybe two a nite and I am not a light hitter!! Blastem
