Members Lonnie99
I have GOT to quit opening this thread. It's been 9 1/2 weeks since Bella passed and I still cry nearly every day. Right now in Starbucks. I'm such a {censored} lol. Doesn't help that the last pup we're selling will probably go today. I can hardly even look at her. Members deanmass
This might sound horrible, but I miss my long passed Golden Retriever more than many people I have known. They are a daily, happy presence. So sorry.
Members Woody_in_MN
Lonnie- well you and me both. I guess I am not a manly man. I am tearing up every couple hours, instead of every couple minutes. So I guess that is progress. I am trying to re-focus on my husky's health issues. Her problems started way before Lamb Chops. I did have the blood pressure checked on the husky yesterday, and got a callback that it was normal. They want to start her on Benazepril, which I think will help her to get more protein broken down, and into her blood stream. (The husky has low protein in her blood. Here energy is down a bit from her normal- but we think it really is more of a thyroid issue. But want to improve protein issue as well.) People vs Pets? I mean I feel the same way. This one has been harder for me.
Members auriemma
I have been there, and will most likely be there again one day. Woody... my sympathies go out to you. Run free Lamb Chop.
Members Lonnie99
I told my wife when Bella passed that I cried FAR harder than when my parents passed. Sad but true.
Members Elias Graves
Very sad. Losing a loved one like a good dog is tough. RIP Lambchop.
Members Woody_in_MN
Lonnie. I think I have cried more than when my dad passed away. And my dad was a good friend. Something about lose of innocence, and devotion with a dog. EG. Appreciated
Members Hubert Stumblin
Looks just like my white Shepheard who died about five years ago. Still miss her. Sorry for your loss.
Members blind radish
Not everyone can understand the connection between man and best friend. Those who do, know how hard this time is.... but the pain will pass and the lasting mark on your humanity for the years shared is Zen.
Members BeanoBoy
It's tough to put an animal, especially one as apparently special as yours, down. My heart goes out to you and yours.

Members shammond
There is nothing quite as comforting as a good dog. Sorry for your loss.
Members Woody_in_MN
Lamb Chop's last good bye. Karen, the vet that did the euthanasia on Tuesday, did a plaque with a paw print. We have it sitting above the kitchen threshold. The hall outside the kitchen was one of Lamb's favorite spots, and actually where she spent the last few days of her life. Members bonz69
Sorry for your loss. I can certainly feel your pain. I had to put my Samoyed down 2 weeks ago tomorrow. She was 15 and while she lived a full, happy life it was still harder than hell. RIP Lamb Chop
Members gergbee
Woody, I wish my vet had offered the plaque as an option for us. I am going to remember this for the future. It looks like a very nice way to remember your beloved friend.

Members richey888
Deepest Sympathies Woody. We lost our beloved Astro earlier this year, he was 14. I can seroiusly relate and am sorry for your loss. Will also miss the paws up!!
Members Woody_in_MN
Thanks again all. I feel I am getting better, I almost went the whole morning without tearing up. I don't know if those plaques are a common practice. Karen is a special vet. All of her practice is pet end of life. She also has a pet hospice. Members Woody_in_MN
The husky's name is Leah. Leah was a stray that showed up in my backyard one morning a few years ago. She had no chip, and no collar. We turned her into the police- who took her to a Vet Hospital. No one claimed her, so we ended up taking her. One odd thing I have seen - like I said before Lamb spent the last few days in the entry way hall- right next to the kitchen. I am now starting to see Leah laying in the same area. That is not a usual spot for Leah. Either Leah is remembering Lamb, or taking in her energy. It is a remarkable thing to see.
