Members benleb
I'm thinking about getting a 13" Zildjian hi-hat (I'm currently playing a 14" New Beat, which I'd like to keep). I play a mostly rock with a funky edge. Before I'll go try them at the drum store, I'd like to know which one you're playing, and why? 13" New Beat13" K/Z13" Mastersound13" Quick Beat Thanks --- Ben
Members Bigjohn
I have a set of Quickbeats they're 14" though, I haven't heard the 13's They sound really bright and cut through the mix pretty well...I love 'em
Members jokerjkny
13" K/Z dyno's. just got mine, and dammit, they're pretty fat sounding for something that's also got the quick 13" like feel.

Members Kermit
If you want a funky sound get either the K/Z hats or the Quickbeats.

I had the 13" K/Z's before and I loved them. However, I found them to be a bit too quiet for our music when we played in bigger outdoor stages. Thus I upgraded to 14" New Beats. Now, these are fine but on a few aqoustic settings they've felt a tad too loud so I'm thinking of changing the top cymbal to a 14" K top. Perhaps then I'll get my ultimate dream hats! Members imissthewar
I just ordered some K/Z 14" and they are loud! I actually prefer throwing the Z on top, the chick sound is amazing!
Members Dash OH drummer
i've heard nothing but good things about both 13" and 14" mastersounds
Members drummer_of_finland
For some funky stuff, take Quickbeats. 13" is a bit tighter but both, 13" & 14" are great.
Members Extremis
14" Quickbeats, have a nice well-rounded sound, to me at least. And I found them cheap at a pawn shop
