The Sonor S-Class is not made in Germany like the DeLite's and Desinger's series. They are made in China so the quality in workmanship is not going to be like the German made set's that are known for there great quality and workmanship. The grain on German shell's run Up & Down and the Chinese shell's run side to side. Also I heard that on mid level maple kit's that the companys use Bquality maple and not A quality Maple Hope this helps
Members Dave Schenck
Conaway being built to the customers specs is a HUGE difference to me. All the others you listed are sold as is.
Members jaged05
You are definatly best to look at the Conways, Sonar, or Premier. The Artist Maple is very nice, and so are the sonars. I haven't played Conway, but every body swears by them.. Jay

Members LoOsE eNdS Up
at that level when youre spending that much its not really good make a difference, youre gonna get superb quality no matter which of companies you choose to go with. just see if you can try them out first. remember tho its not all in sound. its about feel and quality and everything together. Members braindonor35
The only set i've seen in my list in person was the pearl, and it was really nice quality wise, and sounded good. The thing I dont like about conaways is I cant play before I buy, but they are a great deal.
