Members Newman
I bought the three pack of slingerland snares about a year ago, and they are excellent. Usually I am a person that doesnt buy cheap equipment on the notion that you get what you pay for, but the copper and brass snares from slingerland are more than decent. I use the brass snare as my primary snare for shows. So to anyone who read this post and said "slingerland is taiwanese crap", I would agree with you for the most part. But am very pleased with their copper and brass snares. Thats all I have to say about that.
Members Living Dead Drummer
I havn't herd good things about the Music Ho, im mean Music YO slingerland gear..and its a shame because the name has become so taintend, I play a lot of Slingerland kits...all older American made stuff from a few years back...in in my mind they are the best drums that have ever been made. Nothing, and I MEAN Nothing has ever sounded better. I have also played the import stuff, and though its not up to the standard that the old stuff is I would still take one over a Tama Rockstar any day!I have long since wanted to try a brass 7" x 14" Slingerland, however I can't stand the zumatic though off...I have an old Stell Radio King, and I hate the through off....and the one on this other slingerland import at my bassplayers always gives me trouble too....
