Members Thexder
I'm trying to learn to use the double bass pedal but every time I try to do something heel up, I go off balance and find I can't even sit properly, I spend my time trying to sit there and work the pedals at all. And I can't even dare trying to use the sticks to hit a tom while all this is going on. Is there something simple I'm neglecting with heel up that's sending me off balance so much or is it just something I have to get used to and it will work itself out? Members Scheming Demon
How high is your throne? Your thighs should be parallel to the ground, a 90 degree angle at the knee. Can you sit still on your throne with the balls of your feet on the pedals without losing balance? You should be able to do that comfortably. Your upper body should not be moving all that much as your feet alternate. Without actually being able to see what you're doing it's hard to tell you how to correct it. Ah, I noticed I was too high up so I lowered to parallel leg/floor height and it feels better, I'll check things out over the next while with the adjustment. thanks
