Members DownByLaw
Just got in a pair of the Vic Firth Danny Carey sig sticks. Really nice. Long, with a nice taper to the shaft and a swollen butt end that is nice to grip and puts your thumb/fingers in the sweet spot of the fulcrum. (thicker where you grip, sorta like trueline, but more subtle, not just a bulb, the whole stick is thicker at the grip) Excellent balance, and response. Sharper acorn type tip (wood) for nice definition. I play pretty heavy, but I find typical heavy sticks to have a slow response for fast hat and ride work, and are usually incapable of subtler play. These are the answer for me. (was using 747s rock) Recommended. Anyone else try? Patrick
Members sysera
I'm using them as well, specifically because of their excellent rebound. It helps make the deadness of my Yamaha Electronic pads come to life a little bit more like a real drum head. Great sticks.-Sys
