Members IcedEarth 2003
I can say that I am an owner of a Custom Dry, which i also picked up at Guitar Center for around 215. Its defenitly a nice ride I fell in love with the sound of it when I tested it out. Ive yet to record anything with it but I have played it live in 3 different situations so far. Its held up quiet well cutting threw everything. I love riding on the bell. Id defenitly recommend it to anyone looking for a ride.
Members Fishedz
I own one. I've had it for about 5 years or so and it's probably one of the best rides I've heard in a long time. I mean this thing just cuts right through anything. Ideal for jazz but is very versiltile in other musical formats also has a great bell. Enjoy it! Members BWD
I've had so many rides in the past, but this one seems to have a personality about it that affects the sound of my whole kit. This is my 2cnd K and I am pretty much sold on the K line now, I'm obsessed!
Members Mopzilla
I have not owned one, but I have played on one a lot. I used it in the jazz quintet and jazz big band settings and it's an excellent cymbal. It doesn't have a whole lot of ring which is great because you can play louder and get the ping louder without worrying about cymbal wash. I have an earth ride which has a sort of a similar raw sound but it washes a lot (so thick). This is a great cymbal for really laying down the groove. Good for use in boomy situations.
