Members ArtVandelay
If you had $300 to spend on drum equipment, what would you get. My leading candidate is a Pearl Sensitone Classic 2 Brass snare drum. (It's under $300 at Midwest Percussion.)
Members gcdrummer
Depends on what you have and what you need. If you only have 1 cymbal...maybe a cymbal is more important. What other snares do you have? If you have a steel drum, a brass drum won't sound different enough to me so spend that kind of money. But hey...it's your 300. I think if I had 300 I'd get lessons. Members Ignited
Since I've finally decided that I want to learn to use a double pedal, I would use the money to buy some new IC's or 5000's.

I've owned both...go with the IC's. And what ever you do, DON'T adjust them. They are perfect out of the box...at least for me. Took me forever to get them back. Members tangman
I'd get a Tama 14x4 Artwood Snare. I second the Iron Cobra's, they are great out of hte box but depending what you play you will want to adjust them, example I like to play fast 16th notes (Slayer, Morbid Angel, Nile) So I tightened the springs a lot for the fast response. Members ArtVandelay
I'm good on cymbals (2 crashes, a china, 2 splashes, hats, and a ride - all excellent quality and condition). Just got a Yamaha Flying Dragon Double Pedal. I have a Pacific CX 5-piece kit and no extra snare drums.
Members Camel
Ive also got a Pacific CX 5 piece kit. I had some spare cash (very rare occurance) so I ordered the extra 16" floor tom from Pacific. I may even order that 8" add on tom to make it a seven piece CX kit. Im just waiting on the delivery now......
Members rumblebelly
Either an extra snare or a different 18" cymbal.
Members rockbeat
If I were you...and I had $300 to spend...I would buy one of those Black Panther Deep Forest Cherry snare drums that are on ebay right now for just that amount...and send it to me. I'll even pay for the shipping, what the heck.
Members Drummerboy_25
Well I'm fixing to spend about 280$ on 3 Pearl cymbal stand for my new kit. I' also either get a nice Zildjian china or a 3rd crash.
Members Camel
How about a Gong?
Members gcdrummer
Here's the question...if you get a second snare, do you get another big one (14") or a side snare (10-12")?
