Has anyone used a marketing firm to promote themselves ..get gigs, studio work, press exposure etc...? I was looking at this website http://www.universalbuzzintelligence.com/ and it sounds good but I thought I would check with the experts here at harmony central;)

too expensive. your paying the rate of an account supervisor, account manager, designer, director, etc.

 

then again, depends on firm. but thats how we do it at the firm i work at.

I like your site and the professionalism you convey, good job on that.

 

Marketing firms: start out with a smaller sized dollar amount package, letting them know that if you see results you'll keep on paying and maybe buy even a bigger package.

 

It's very difficult (impossible?) to determine what they're going to do for your career until after they've done their stuff. But if they produce for you, you won't mind paying more.
