What copyright to put on the back of your cd

My band is putting out our own EP and I am wondering what I need to put on the back to protect our music. I have "all rights reserved" as well as who produced it and where. Should put sometype of copyright? If so what's the button for the "c" with the circle around it? thanks.

i'm assuming he did that

look behind one of your favorite cd's - what does it say?

© 2003 Pink Floyd Music Ltd. or something like this

when you copyright, it would be under that name i assume, assuming you do it under your band name

so © 2003 My Band Name

i think word automatically changes a (c) to a ©

Once you produce a work for public consumption, it is a copyrighted piece, and therefore entitles you to indicate it as such on the CD jacket. registering it withthe copyright office is merely that, registering an already copyrighted piece.

no, ® is only for registered TRADEMARKS...has nothing to do with copyrights

as was said before, your work is protected as of creation, all the registration options etc, are just to help PROVE you created it first in case of dispute

on the back of the cd i would put

"all music + lyrics © 2003 bandname, All Rights reserved"

(p) "album title" 2003 record company (or band, for the sound recording copyright)

also, make sure you make a note in the liner notes regarding copyright of graphics/artwork etc
