Members PaoloJM
I am looking for suggestions on a few different mics to try. It is for live use and I sing country/classic rock. I don't have a high voice, probably more of a tenor range to maybe a little lower. I am currently using a Shure SM58 and have been wondering about a beta 58. I don't want to spend a ton of money on one either. My sm58 has served my fine for many years, but was just wondering if there was something just a "step" up from this ?Thank you There's nothing a "step" up from a SM58, just different. What are you not happy with the 58?What qualities are you specifically looking for?Without a clear idea on this then you are just wasting money. Members staticsound
I've been using an SM87 as of late, and I like it better than the Beta58. Nice sound, super cardioid, and you can blast it in the monitors without feedback.
