guys with a multi-monitor set up-chime in.

Recommended Posts

I'm trying to set my computer up for 2 or more monitors...this would make my recording life a hell of a lot easier.

anyone have any recommendations on graphics cards to use---or any devices that I would need to do this?

My computer came with this feature. I can check the card though....

NVIDIA GeForce 6600 256 MB PCIe.

This is what it said.

I'm running 2 monitors one at 1440X900 and the other at 1024X768. I have heard that a card like this won't run a huge 30" cinema display however.

I see, I just wanted something for a small monitor 15" max.

something to organize my recording program better then cramming it all into one screen and losing track of plug-ins-etc.

Yeah I run a second 14" monitor. I needed an adapter though because that video card only has DVI outputs and the 14" only has a VGA input. My main monitor is a 19" running via DVI.

The quality difference is quit allot but not enough to care about since I just have my mixer in the second window.

I just add an old PCI graphics card in and rock on.

Windows makes multi-screen display very easy.
