Members Andy Rontal
all tube comparison should include an Aguilar db359 if you can afford it. Really, it's the tits imo.
Members beam
I'd say forget even looking for a Hiwatt. Your list is just fine, but yea maybe try an Aguilar or an Eden if you can find a decent used one.

Plus I'm gonna start with.....AFFORDABLE! All of the amps do far were $500 and under. That way I can test out amps that more people can afford and also but a lot more at once and knock out more amps that way.
Members bnyswonger
The one I really would like you to do is a 70's SVT though...several of forumites have them and it would be interesting to see what you think... You won't get your sound switching capability (I do that stuff in front of the amp) but it IS a readily available amp and kind of a benchmark... I'll pick one up here in the next couple of months. It's definitely on the list.

Members Zamfir
Bump because this thread almost fell off the forum. Maybe it should be preserved in FAQ form for a bit?
Members Jugghaid
Or maybe I can just preserve it for a while and then combine them all at the end?
