Marketing consultant currently writing a bunch of copy for a few ad agencies. Basically I spend all day on the computer either writing or reseaching. Sometimes it's fun, other times (like right now) it's just a big time drag.

I'm trying to start up my own on-line gig but I either need to learn MySql or pay a few guys, neither which interests me very much. So my business plan sits....

That is odd.... if you are a business person, you aren't anticapitalist. Half-measures are no measures at all...

But, hey, more power to you if you can make it work... :)

I was teaching as a graduate student, but I've just gotten a different apointment at my uni. I'm going to develop the multimedia component for a composition textbook next spring, and teach sophmore lit classes in the fall.

Temp worker. Work is decent, but the money sucks bad. I have a bachelor's degree in Sociology that hasn't really come in handy at all (not like I really expected a 4-year social sciences degree to anyway). I'm applying for grad school right now so hopefully I'll get into a school psychology program. Then I'll actually be able to use my degree/certification to get a job.

In Oregon, yes. Where you are supposed to get it is a bit of a mystery though. I have heard the corner of 4th and Burnside is a good place.:)
