Eden Enhance knob does what ?

Recommended Posts

I am real curious as to what the enhance button on Eden amps REALLY does.

The manual reads-

"Enhance Control

That's what it does....the "eden tone" is that of slightly scooped lower mids. I believe that the enhance button....uh...enhances it. ;) That is to say it exagerates that sound of the scooped lower mids.

I never use it on my navigator, FWIW.

Peace,

Dugan

My Eden Nemesis210 doesnt have the button. has nice knob instead. Sets it between just before 10 oclock, and just past noon. But more often toward 10 oclock. Is a basic color control imo. At noon and beyond gives darker sound to my ears. Before noon helps accent the notes & attack more. Due to how it affects the mid contour I think.

The great simplicity of an Eden amp is that you're pretty much guaranteed to set the EQ flat and have a kickass tone. The Enhance feature seems to be a "one stop knob" to...ahem, enhance your tone and/or easily adjust to room acoustics/dynamics w/o messing w/ the EQ filters (which, as mentioned, seem to respond best flat).

I like the Enhance feature a lot....the Quasi Parametric EQ drives me crazy! :p

Sounds like my SWR's "AURAL ENHANCER"

SWR and Eden seem very similear... do they having anything in common? (besides being good amps :D)

I think one guy, who designed the Eden cabs, designed the SWR cabs before. :D

Anyone tries to scoop the lower mids in my tone, and I wouldn't consider it an "enhancement." :(

Presumably that is voiced to cancel out the low-mid 'bump' that I have read about in Eden enclosures.

I have an amp with an enhance knob and, although I never use it with my fretted, I find it to be somewhat useful when playing fretless. Don't ask me to explain exactly why, but it works.

The enhanced upper mids help accentuate the 'mwah' perhaps?
