Members TCEDDIA Posted May 30, 2005 Members Posted May 30, 2005 Yesterday my band played an outdoor gig. I was concerned that my little ampeg b100r might not hold it's own given the outdoor venue. To my surprise, many people, including the other band who would follow us, said my little box sounded great. I couldn't really appreciate how loud it was since I was standing only a few feet in front of it. How cool is that! By the way, the stage floor was wood so I used my new Auralex GRAMMA for the first time with very positive results. That combo continues to impress me.
Members NeonVomit Posted May 30, 2005 Members Posted May 30, 2005 I've heard plenty of things about that little amp, all of them good.
Members der oxenrig Posted May 30, 2005 Members Posted May 30, 2005 I want one. Those things sound awesome with P-basses.

Members GrooveMonkey Posted May 30, 2005 Members Posted May 30, 2005 I gig mine and DI and it never fails to impress me. Great combo!
Members pbass_groovin Posted May 31, 2005 Members Posted May 31, 2005 I play a US Fender P w/ flats through a B100R & get great thump. Its great for practice but I need more for gigs. I've been very satisfied with it & had no problems. Still need something lounder for gigs. G..... player runs through a 5150 that the Ampeg can't compete with.

I never did try to gig with it though. Wasn't really a fair test I guess.

Oh wait, it's all clear now that I've noticed your forum ID:D I had the chance to buy a used one in mint condition for $300 a few years ago. Of course when I returned to buy it...gone. He who hesitates is lost. One look at my basement should convince that I haven't been lost in a while.........
