I was looking around and noticed the XB925 and now im interested. I used to own an XB series before. it was not a US one though, and had the MM pickup in it, i cant remember the model name at all, i think it was a xb-2002 or something. but it wasnt that great.

But yeah, anyone have any experience with one? build quality, sound, B string tension?

I think Trujillo is playing Fernandes now...

I played an USA XB at Steves in Toronto years ago (when I was upgrading from a XB 400...it was pretty nice but too much $$$ at the time.

from what i remember Robert Trujillo has always either played his Tobias or Fernandes basses and more recently a Zon.

This particular model is kinda pricey, around $1,000, but i wouldnt mind paying that at all if its worth it. im really liking the look of it, esp. the zebra wood version. friggin sexy! :D

If my Korean Washburn is anything to go by, the USA models must totally kick ass. Mine is lovely and solid with a fat, Fat, FAT tone. Really love it.

The USA ones with Bartolini pickups should be amazing.

I own a Washburn T24 neckthrough bass. It's passive and is made out of mahogany. It's an absolutely beautiful instrument and sounds smooth. I played an XB920 at Pro Audio in Cleveland and it was a very nice bass, great tone and just-right comfortable. I'm going to order one myself in Zebrawood later this year.
