Believe me................you aren't missing anything. He's not in tune or in beat. One of the worst performances I've ever seen by an established musician.

Personally, I LOVE AOL. I've been a member since 1994, and I've NEVER had an compatibility issue. Plus, when you own a small business, you get a corporate access plan, which is unbeatable.

You're new here, so I'll chalk your blasphemy up to inexperience...

No, none suck more than Lug...In fact, it is the sole duty of an entire team of physicists at NASA to attempt to quantify Lug's suck, since the only thing in the universe that even approaches Lug's suck are black holes (and even they pale in comparison)...

there is much comedy in this statement, kinda similar to:

C:DOS

C:DOS RUN

RUNDOS RUN

Anyways, I hate Sting. I can't stand his style. The other day, I picked up his signature p bass in my local guitar store and it sounded like utter {censored}e. It was muddy, it had terrible electrical hum, and it wasn't that comfortable to play.

AOL drivers are notorious for taking over a PC, they replace waaaaaaaaaay too many default drivers. Ask any IT person how many PCs they had to fix because AOL drivers caused the system to crash all the time and break applications.

Now AOL writes to your boot sector. That's a no-no, off limits, cardinal sin - NO ONE should mess with the boot sector just to install applications. Turbotax did this a couple of years ago and there was a mass exodus of customers.

+ a number only calculable by use of lug's suck

AOL is complete hell. They are bastages that should be busted down a peg or two.

No, Sting doesn't suck.

I'm not sure what video you guys are referring to, since I also will not be downloading a proprietary player just to watch one video, but I've seen Sting in all of his metamorpheses, and I admire him all the way. A consumate musician.

I put Sting and the Police up there with U2 as another musician(s) that I just don't understand how they got popular, and continue to be so.

Even Brian Peppers agrees

you're entitled to your opinion, but you are wrong ;)

last year i saw sting & annie lennox, and dubbed it the best concert I've ever seen (before it was even over) and i've seen many greats.

he is a true star, renaissance man - and no, I'm not loading some dopey AOL video viewer just for this.

I feel I need to clarify. Trust me, EVERYTHING is worng with lug's playing. He is the King Of Suck. The briefest of exposures to his MP3s has been known to turn animals off their feed, cause grown men to weep like new-borns, is suspected to have effected the mortality rates of the armadillo, and has left mikgag with a turkey baster permanently lodged in his brain. Heed the warning, do NOT listen to lug's playing...You have been warned.

I'm at work, and this machine is getting re-imaged soon anyhow, so I installed the plug-in ;)

His playing seemed to be off on purpose. It just sounded out-of-phase with the song.

Liked the tone though.

Yeah, I'll be passing on this. I'll never infect another machine with AOL.

Well maybe the man was having an off night or whoever recorded it was out to lunch, but I'll never take "Sting sucks" as a definitive statement. I'll go with Sting sucks THESE days. His solo material pales in comparison to the Police. I gave him up for dead years ago when he started strumming a nylon string acoustic and had someone else do the bass playing.

But those five Police albums have stood he test of time, all of them were brilliant creations. Too bad about the blow and the egos, there was still alot of potential in that band. The other thing that bugs me is that the Police worked with so much space and sparseness in their music and I love that reductivist approach, but Sting has lost all that. Now his tunes are thick with many instruments and arranged to within an inch of their life. 'Walking on the Moon' was a long time ago it seems. Pity. He's bigger than ever and plays the Oscars every year, but he's a spent force IMO.
