Help with Bass PODXT USB

I got the bass PODXT yesterday and really enjoy it. It records well which is what I'm mainly using it for. However, I can't quite figure out the USB connection. The computer recognizes it and I've downloaded all of the drivers from line6, but when only the USB is hooked up, I can't get any sound coming from the speakers or any signal in recording. I use Adobe Audition. If anyone has experience in connecting it up with USB I'd greatly appreciate you sharing how it's done. Thanks!

I use it with USB and Sonar 3. Works fine for me...

I'm not familiar with Adobe Audition, but the way that I use it personally is that when I'm in sonar I set u 2 tracks. The first one I set the recording input as Bass Pod XT Left, and the other one is Bass Pod XT Right. Left is Mic'ed, and Right is DI'ed I think. I take the mic/di out on the bass pod itself and send that to the board so I can hear myself. Then, I take the sound card return left/right and put those into the board too so that I can hear the playback.

Now, when you record, you can hear yourself play through the board, but the computer is recording the bass through the USB interface. You don't even need the board other than to monitor yourself! It's very handy, sounds great, and is very quiet.

It sounds like you just need to choose your recording inputs in Adobe Audition, so look in the help files for info on that and you should be set!

I've set up the recording inputs as they should be, but I get no signal. And you're saying you can't actually hear the bass through the computer via USB? To get your POD working did you just download the driver and hook it up? Thanks!

Nope, I don't hear it through the computer. I think you can set up "input monitoring" through Sonar to do that but I prefer to just monitor the pod itself through my mixer.

Even if you can't hear the pod, when I arm sonar to record i can see signal level going into the PC's inputs that are armed for recording

And yeah that's it, i just installed the driver from the Line 6 website. Keep trying, it's worth it once you get it working!
