Saw it last night. Really good movie. They finally got it right this time. It's a long movie, but that's because a lot of ground needed to be covered to establish everything. I highly recomend it to my fellow geeks.

Ahhh, I just remembered who this guy is!

I remember seeing him in the original animated series, with his Lazerus Pit.

Should be cool to see how he translates to a live-action character.

I'll be seeing it in a little over 2 hours. I've damn near got chub in my pants already just thinking about it. :D

And it's spelled Ra's al Ghul...It's arabic for "The Demon's Head"...

He's such a great character...David Warner did an amazing job with the voice acting for the Animated Series (Though Warner always does an amazing job)...

I'm going to try to talk someone into going with me tomorrow. If not, I'll just go by myself. I've been waiting for this flick for a while.

The only one I give a {censored} about after this is Serenity.

Yup, his voice was perfect for that role.

A meaner Chancellor Gorkon ;)

Just got back from the show. My bro and I both loved it. If you haven't seen it yet, and you think you might be remotely interested in it, do yourself a favor and see it.

That movie was awesome. I am hoping that they just say "hey we are going to redo the other movies (the ones that have come out recently like batman forever, etc., not the original) because they blew hard. The guys that did the movies missed the bar severely, and you should just ignore them." While they are at it, they could do the same with SW episode 1

It's a tie for favorite performance of his between Ra's al Ghul and the Cardassian Interrogator in the two part ST:TNG episode Chain of Command...

The ending was great.

Gordon- "There was a double murder, it seems that the killer left a calling card"

Batman- Looks at the "calling card" " I'll look into it."

Jim Carrey was amazing in it.

amazingly annoying if you ask me. That guy should go back to doing Ace Ventura type of things. He seems to want to be taken as a serious actor, but all the movies that he's serious in blow hard.

uhhh ok?

I heard that imax movies can only be so long due to the reels are bigger. Someone told me that when attack of the clones came out on Imax that they had to cut about a half an hour out of the movie in order for it to be played there

I saw it last night and it was freakin' amazing. It was a quick 2:20 also. It didn't feel that long.

They got everything right. I loved Keaton as BW/Batman, but Christian Bale has been a favorite of mine ever since I first saw "American Psycho", and he played the younger Wayne, IMO as good as you could get. All the gadgetry and toys were friggin' badassed. Plus the casting was A++. Michael Cane as Alfred? Hell yes! Oldman as a young Commissioner Gordon? Nice.

I'll definitely go see it again, and hope I can check it out in IMAX. That'd be something to see.

SPOILER ALERT: (question!)

Ok, so in the first "Batman", we find out that Jack Napier kills BW's parents in the alley... buuuuut, in this one, it's that one guy who gets shot in the courthouse? What am I missing, here?

Jack Napier was a name made up for the movie. No one has ever found out the true identity of the Joker. Alan Moore may have used a name in Batman: the Killing Joke, but I'm not sure. It's a great story by the way.

The Joker wasn't the one who killed his parents it was some "bum". In the comic he doesn't get killed like in the movie though. I did however like the twist that they threw on it, linking it to Gothams depression which was caused by Ra's al Ghul's society.
