Members Zebra Posted June 18, 2005 Members Posted June 18, 2005 Well, a while ago my amp got busted. Two of the knobs stopped working and then the input jack went kerplunk. Now for the lessons I'm going to start Wednesday, I need a working amp, so I took a look inside.Surprise surprise, two of the pots had snapped off and god knows what's wrong with the input. It's all conveniently located on one circuitboard, so I could replace that board and be done with it. Do you think I could find a board to replace it? I can't find the Danelectro website (it's a Danelectro amp) If anyone can point me to that.

Members el_duderino676 Posted June 19, 2005 Members Posted June 19, 2005 it looks like you could desolder what is left of the pots and just solder new ones in, if you could figure out what the pot values are. Depending on how the jack is soldered on, you could probably replace it as well, as long as you can solder decently.

It conveniently has the pot values on the back of them. I have no idea how well I solder, I guess I'll find out. That danelectro board doesn't look like it's hoppin', so I'll se what I can do.
Members el_duderino676 Posted June 19, 2005 Members Posted June 19, 2005 for tips on soldering, there is a thread in the FAQ section that contains a link to a great soldering guide. I thought I knew how to solder and I learned my mistakes after reading that.
