Members Dark Slide Posted June 21, 2005 Members Posted June 21, 2005 ... So summer started and because school is out I start working long days with kids. Usually we're outside at the beach and the like, which is cool, 'cept I work 9 hour days, which leads to... Owie. Five x 9 hour days a week is going to suck, but hopefully the $$ will make it worth it. I think I currently make more in a week than my monthly bills add up to.

I went out and bought some Coppertone Sport SPF 48 sunblock today, so hopefully that will help. I was literally sitting in my car watching my client while draped in a light cotton shirt because the sun hurt so bad. Ugh. Think I can collect workmans comp for this? TRhey TOTALLY didn't provide me with sunblock
Members bholder Posted June 21, 2005 Members Posted June 21, 2005 get some bullfrog 50 or even the baby 50 stuff. Neutragena makes some really excellent high SPF low-greasey-yuk stuff too. I had skin cancer at 21, I don't f* around with it anymore.
Members sunburstbasser Posted June 21, 2005 Members Posted June 21, 2005 That stinks. I've got a mild burn on my shoulders. However, a little sun can cut your chances of like 5 other cancers that, overall, are 30x more likely to kill you than skin cancer.
Members TwYzTyR Posted June 21, 2005 Members Posted June 21, 2005 Just wear a flannel shirt and jeans. You'll have a heatstroke, but you're not likely to get a sunburn.
Members der oxenrig Posted June 21, 2005 Members Posted June 21, 2005 Ouch, parts of my sunburn were so bad they're second degree burns. It's fun to peel the skin off, though.
