that's what I was going to say. When the riff changes mid stream before the solo. That is so badass. Megadeth has a ton of badass riffs. The verse to Holy Wars is great and fun to play. My last Words is freaking nuts

NIB - Black Sabbath

Piece of Me - Skid Row

Blood and Roses - Smithereens, but I don't know if that qualifies as a heavy riff.

Slave to the Grind (Skid Row) came on a bit ago too! That's a good one.

Bungle - that breakdown kinda thing in Travolta/Quote Unquote

- the only coherent riff in Carry Stress in the Jaw

Metallica - Too many to count...the bridge from Ride the Lightning and Four Horsemen, all of Battery, Leper Messiah, Thing that Should Not Be...

Megadeth - Rust in Peace, Countdown to Extinction

King Crimson - Red

In Flames - the chorus to Dead Eternity

Cradle of Filth - From cradle to enslave, Malice Through the Looking Glass, Sleepless

Children of Bodom - Angels don't Kill, Everytime I Die, Sixpounder, Toward Dead End

Yeah, and pretty much any RATM (first two albums)
