I saw the doves' album for cheap and thought to myself "man, I've heard so many good things about that band, I should pick this up."

 

Turns out I was thinking of the swans.

The Swans were awesome. They were popular in the UK in the mid - late 80's.

 

Doves have made a couple of albums since and they both rock.

 

I never miss an opportunity to catch them when they are touring and they never disappoint.

Doves are a great band. They've found there own sound which is quite refreshing.

Jimi's bass playing is solid but interesting. He uses overdrive quite a bit which helps make it stand out in the mix, especially when playing live.

I saw the Doves with Mercury Rev a couple of months ago. The Rev blew them away.
