Members Zeopold Posted June 24, 2005 Members Posted June 24, 2005 I like the way he works the octaves.
Members BEAD Posted June 24, 2005 Members Posted June 24, 2005 I saw the doves' album for cheap and thought to myself "man, I've heard so many good things about that band, I should pick this up." Turns out I was thinking of the swans. doh! last broadcast is pretty solid though.

Doves have made a couple of albums since and they both rock. I never miss an opportunity to catch them when they are touring and they never disappoint.
Members Phil1 Posted July 28, 2005 Members Posted July 28, 2005 Doves are a great band. They've found there own sound which is quite refreshing. Jimi's bass playing is solid but interesting. He uses overdrive quite a bit which helps make it stand out in the mix, especially when playing live.
Members The Funk Posted July 28, 2005 Members Posted July 28, 2005 I saw the Doves with Mercury Rev a couple of months ago. The Rev blew them away.
