okay, so i don't have any pics but this is what i've been using lately:

stingray (bart electronics)

EH microsynth

genz benz GBE600

SWR big ben (1x18)

here's a lil' mp3

http://netnet.net/~tyandjo/rm.mp3

sorry about the quality. i just went straight from the board into a minidisc recorder. i've been thinking about adding another big ben cuz that would look pretty cool

Diggin' the tone for the music, really fits.

Vocals are definately too up-front for me, though. Then again, it seems to work and I don't listen to this kind of music often.

Bass tone: Big huge bottom end combined with Barts. I've heard Ben described as (in the TalkBass classifieds) "hearing chocolate low end," and that clip does just that. A smooth, perfect, delicious bottom-end.

With that said though, the tone isn't "mine," but it sounds like it works great for you!

i bought it with a bart MME and NTB already installed. i don't care for the MMC pickup but i dig the MME. mine has a 3 way switch installed and it really sounds pretty good. i think you can probably get the two for $150 or so.

$105, $105, and $135 for them at http://bestbassgear.com .

Three different kinds, it looks like:

MV5CBC - Classic Bass Series Dual Coil Humbucker

"Classic Bass" CB series bass pickups are passive designs featuring an extended and more resonant frequency range. They have far more "air" and definition at the top without sacrificing lows and low mids. They are cast in epoxy to remove unwanted feedback and microphonics.

5 string dual coil pickup in 4 string Music Man shape - string width covered is 66mm to 73mm on medium curvature fingerboards.

MM5EK Bright Tone, Tri-Coil. Limited Stock.

thanks, i'm really at the whim of the soundman in this recording. onstage there is more midrange presence so i can hear what the hell notes i'm playing but the soundman is more of a low end freak...

So your really diggin' the Big Ben as a standalone? That's interesting because I've been thinking about a Big Ben to go under my Goliath Jr.III, but whatever cab I get, I'd want it to hold it's own just as well as a standalone.

well, i've compared it with the henry and a WM 4x10. the henry and 4x10 seem louder but i like the tone of the big ben. it seems more room dependent, tho, being rear ported.

as a side note, i preferred it by itself than daisy chained with the 4x10.

the tone is great. i could use more power @ 8 ohms, tho. there may be a 1200 in my future. i think @ 4 ohms it would probably be sufficient.

I may be able to take the 600 off your hands, then.

definately a possiblity. i'm really impressed with the 600. to be honest, i was a bit skeptical when i bought if from stinky and planned on using it as a backup but i dug it so much after the first couple of gigs that it quickly become a part of the main rig. i like it so much that i don't really even want a 1200. i just want a 600 with more power... :D

The 1200 is just like the 600 but with some refinements and a few tricks up it's sleeve. It's where we wanted to take the 600 originally, but at the time we developed the 600 it was pretty advanced and the 1200 maybe would have scared the average player... hell it still might!!!
