Well the inlaws left yesterday morning and already Im starting to feel a little better. It was starting to feel like an invasion of some sort. Like you couldnt really be yourself and relax. Unless your father in law lives with you for a month its hard to understand...

The cat is going to the vet this week to make sure it doesnt have an urinary tract infection. Someone mentioned to us that they will pee in places to let you know something is wrong. If the cat checks out ok, then my wife needs to make a decision on possibly letting go a cat or two. Or letting the cat stay outside.

The band is the band. Its still up in the air. But Im going to just make the most of it. At the least its glorified practice.

Overall feeling somewhat better. Thanks everyone for the kind words.

It's highly unlikely that your cat has a UTI without something else going on (bladder stones, etc). What "somebody" told you is right on: cats pee in strange places to let you know that they're mad at you. But it's always a good idea to get it checked out with a urinalysis (the cat's, not yours). A piece of advice: if your vet sends your cat into the bathroom with a little plastic cup, get another vet.

Glad to hear things are going better for you. Pee on the cat once for me, buddy.

If I had my inlaws stay with me I'm sure evrything else would look more bleak. Does playing your bass drive some of the blues away? Playing music is therapeutic.

Music is a huge escape for me. A lot of things (problems) tend to disappear temperarily while I jam. I can be a melloncollie type of person without being depressed so when Im down Im really down. But I tend to write better in that state of mind. A good thing? Maybe. Healthy? Maybe not.

The cat is on its last leg. I feel bad because I like animals a lot. It wouldnt have lasted this long if I didnt but its really close to coming to head with this cat. We tried even more stuff over the weekend. We cleaned both boxes extra good. Moved them away from where they eat. It occured to me that they wouldnt want to eat around the area where they crap. Cats are generally clean animals. So the box was at the opposite end of the basement. So the next morning where does the cat pee? Right where the box was.

The band is the thing now that has me most down. Its so fizzling out that it'll probably be no more in a couple months. I live in an area where its hard to find even a couple guys to jam with. I suppose the good thing is that Im a bass player and we are a little more in demand than guitarists.

Thanks again everyone.

i have trouble with some of my family, Aunts, Uncles.. they make me feel uneasy too. i really can't be myself! not only that, some of them aren't as supportive and are self serving:mad:

i email them... no email back.

so i'm spending holidays with my Father Mother & Sister. we might go up to see my Other Uncle and Aunt and Cousins.

i gave up! i really would rather spend time with family that actually cares.
