Members RSBro
I'm trying to download and convert this live bootleg of one of my fave bands and it's like in .flac format or something. Supposedly, you can convert it to .WAV and actually listen to it... Anyone know ANYthing about this? I'll get you the file and if you could convert it for me and throw it on a CD or two, I'd definitely compensate ya!
Members takeout
.FLAC is just another compression format, like .MP3 but lossless. Just download the .FLAC software and you can do this yourself.
Members RSBro
Well I'm trying to do it the OTHER way, if that makes any sense. From .FLAC to .WAV and I've only been able to find one piece of software that'll actually do it, but I get an Windows Error Reporting window (go figure) whenever I try it. Then when I add my file, hit "Decode", it comes up in a DOS window and it comes up with this error code *** Got error code 0:FLAC_STREAM_DECODER_ERROR_STATUS_LOST_ then the file name and ERROR while decoding metadata So, I donno what the dealio is... Google that error message; it's probably either a missing file or a setting you need to change.

Members RSBro
Thanks Hunter, I'll get on that... What I DIDN'T know about all this crap is that it's like a damn FTP service 'n stuff! No WONDER that crap didn't work, and it only downloaded 32K instead of 709MB!
Members basshunter
Where are you DLing from? Some sites you can download directly, others you will need an FTP client, I recommend SmartFTP because its smart an I'm not. I just started using it, and its gone pretty well so far. I'm using Azureus, cause there were a few other people who, from the stats, had used that before. It seems be dl'ding so far! Has about 30 min. left on it, and then we'll see what all pans out.
