Members Guy Who Plays Bass Posted July 9, 2005 Members Posted July 9, 2005 Now I've been trying to sell my Genz Benz 410 XB-T for the last year (off and on, really) for about $300 + shipping. It's a great cab, popular brand, and I think good deal, but nobody seems to take any interest in it. Am I doing something wrong, asking too much or what? I would really appreciate any advice on selling this beast since I can't haul with me off to college. Thanks guys! Here is a pic of the cab for anyone interested.
Members bassman1956 Posted July 9, 2005 Members Posted July 9, 2005 I don't think you're asking too much. Can't believe you haven't moved it?
Members J. Posted July 9, 2005 Members Posted July 9, 2005 It's not a seller's market out there unfortunately. You are asking a fair price, but sometimes if you're in a situation where you NEED to sell something you have to take what you can get. Maybe try advertising it for $300 shipped?
Members Dark Slide Posted July 10, 2005 Members Posted July 10, 2005 {censored}, if I wasn't spending all my $$ on a music festival for this summer, I'd buy it in a heartbeat.
Members illidian Posted July 10, 2005 Members Posted July 10, 2005 **Tries Jedi Mind Trick** Yes, it must be because you're asking too much. Am I correct in assuming that this is a four ohm cab? Do you know how they compare to the current XB-2 series (**Paging Roger/Andy**). What's the weight? Dimensions? The problem with these is that shipping costs suck. Maybe with some more information and the right price (zip 45251 for shipping quote), I'd be interested.
Members Guy Who Plays Bass Posted July 10, 2005 Author Members Posted July 10, 2005 Weighs about 90lbs. and is 16x25x31. It's an 8 ohm cab rated at 500 watts. I'll check on the shipping.
Members Jonny Five Posted July 10, 2005 Members Posted July 10, 2005 Have you considered keeping it for college? There's always a lot of musicians when you attend school, and bass players are usually a rare commodity. I mean, if its gotta go, it's gotta go. But you may regret selling it if you find a decent band at school.

You posted this at just the right time, tomorrow I was going to order a Jazz Bass from Rondo.

That's a bitch of a shipping price. I'm in the Southwestern coerner of Ohio, so it's not going too far. I'll check shipping for ~110 pounds later.
