CMS Author Craig Vecchione Posted July 14, 2005 CMS Author Posted July 14, 2005 Okay so now about every other time I do anything here...post a reply, click a thread, etc. I get a white page with " A slight problem has occured with the database" and some other gibberish about an email sent to the Administrator. Quick, someone go buy something Behringer at MF so they can afford to fix it!

Hah yeah, we need some of that suck knob on the Behringer mixer turned down on this forum...
Members FARGreg Posted July 14, 2005 Members Posted July 14, 2005 I got that page while trying to open this thread...
Members Bonoman Posted July 14, 2005 Members Posted July 14, 2005 Yeah, this is getting a little annoying, but I'm sure the mods will let us know why this is happening. I mean, it's getting so that posting here is becoming more of a chore than a pleasure and we all know that nobody wants that, so I'm sure it'll be fixed. I hope so, anyhow.
Members Rippin' Robin Posted July 14, 2005 Members Posted July 14, 2005 Originally posted by Bonoman posting here is becoming more of a chore Man, a chore beats an additiction every day! *) *) except kitten killing, of course.
Members sunburstbasser Posted July 14, 2005 Members Posted July 14, 2005 Maybe if we just banned Lug?

Members Incubitabus Posted July 14, 2005 Members Posted July 14, 2005 Originally posted by sunburstbasser Maybe if we just banned Lug? no way! such a hasty adjustment from "suck" to "blow" would tear us all apart!
Members Zamfir Posted July 14, 2005 Members Posted July 14, 2005 I was getting that page, too. First time I'd seen it since MF took over. But - don't assume all the slowness is on MF's part (even if they got rid of three servers). Could be other slowdowns on the Internet...all your intermediate linkages between your ISP and here, or whatever. Hell, lightning was making llife difficult for me yesterday.
Members bassman1956 Posted July 14, 2005 Members Posted July 14, 2005 Well, the last several days, I getting a lot of consistent problems, either at home on the DSL or at work on the T100. Lock uo while loading, or never finishing to load. Apparently, some of us have problems, and some don't.
Members bassplayer7770 Posted July 14, 2005 Members Posted July 14, 2005 I've received that message before MF took over too...
Members TwYzTyR Posted July 14, 2005 Members Posted July 14, 2005 They're pissed because I just spent about $700 at AMS...
Members Jazz Ad Posted July 14, 2005 Members Posted July 14, 2005 They're switching servers dammit.Roadworks tend to slow down traffic.
Members TwYzTyR Posted July 14, 2005 Members Posted July 14, 2005 Another thing I was wondering about is the smilies down by the buttons under each post...anyone else notice that? They're not under ever post, but sometimes I see next to the PM button and the next to the search button. It's weird.
Members bholder Posted July 15, 2005 Members Posted July 15, 2005 I had that kind of thing last night, claimed it had posted my reply, then took me back to the thread, but without my post. I looked back later, on one thread, one of my posts never made it at all; on another, there were 2 or 3 copies. Gotta love modern technology.
Members bassman1956 Posted July 16, 2005 Members Posted July 16, 2005 The last 4 days it's getting markedly worse. My normal browser is Mozilla. Almost any page hangs up, and won't finish loading, even if I walk away from it for a long time. On a fluke, I tried IE. Guess what, IE works great! I dispise IE for 2 reasons: First, I find it bulky and cumbersome to use, period. Second, I don't begrude Billy his fame and fortune, but I hate being forced to use his stuff, especially when there are significant alternatives. Clearly, HCBF performance is only getting worse with Mozilla, at work or at home. So, is MF only supporting IE now? If not, when can we expect better results? It's been a few weeks, they should be getting it together by now... When will we see reliably good performance? Not trying to pick a fight, just getting frustrated as hell, and apparently I'm not the only one. Even with IE, last night I could barely participate with the forum.
