Members Incubitabus Posted July 17, 2005 Members Posted July 17, 2005 I'm looking at picking up an OLP SR5 to backup my Warwick at shows, but I was wondering: Is the routing the same under both pickguard options (the 4 string oval, and the 5 string oblong)? I want a 5'r, but I think i'll end up taping it up with duck tape or electrical tape, and I want to know if i can get a metal electronics cover to go on the 5'r. If you specifically know about the OLP variation, I would appreciate it, but I think the routing is the same on the MM3...

I saw a 4-banger FNA go for $490 a few weeks ago. Thats the lowest I've seen any FNA sell for, beises mine. I wish i could afford a Double Buck ($1500) or even just another FNA ($700-900)...
Members bleepo Posted July 18, 2005 Members Posted July 18, 2005 chrome tone actually, for now my thumb 5 is keeping me happy. But i'd like a early 90's lefty 5er one day... I'd prefer a Streamer, or thumb.
Members Fran da Man Posted July 18, 2005 Members Posted July 18, 2005 The OLP 5 is another bass I wanted to love (just the thought of a cheaper Stingray and I was like ...YEA!!!) but alas...it wasn't so. The string spacing is tight, and the neck is just awkward, like a half baseball bat (pretty darn thick). I play a Lakland and the neckof the OLP for having tighter spacing just feels wider; unfortunatley this bass like i said i wanted to love this thing, it just fell short.
Members Incubitabus Posted July 18, 2005 Author Members Posted July 18, 2005 ah-HEM! *Points to Warwick FNA 5 listed in sig* I LIKE having a neck that feels like half a baseball bat with very tight string spacing. Hence why i'm interested...
