Members Newget Posted July 17, 2005 Members Posted July 17, 2005 Where can I find info on a 73' musicman? My neighbor has one sitting in the basement and would love to find out more about it.Thanx
Members Jazz Ad Posted July 17, 2005 Members Posted July 17, 2005 It's gonna be very difficult to find info, especially since Music Man started production in 1976.
Members Newget Posted July 17, 2005 Author Members Posted July 17, 2005 There is a perfect piece of info already! Where did you find it?
Members Jazz Ad Posted July 17, 2005 Members Posted July 17, 2005 Inside my head. You will find a lot of info at the Dude Pit. http://www.vintagebass.com/thedudepit/forumdisplay.php?f=48
Members Incubitabus Posted July 17, 2005 Members Posted July 17, 2005 Ive got a Guitar Blue Book. Give me some more eyeball specs and I'll tell you what it says... Ernie Ball did produce an Earthwood Bass line between 1972 and 1973. Maybe thats what you've got? Real MM's started production in Fullerton Cali from 76-79...
Members Jazz Ad Posted July 17, 2005 Members Posted July 17, 2005 Yeah but Ernie Ball and Music Man had nothing in common back then. EB bought MM later on.The Earthwood is a giant acoustic bass, about twice the size of a dreadnought. Hard to miss or take for a MM.
Members Incubitabus Posted July 17, 2005 Members Posted July 17, 2005 i wasnt sure what he had was even a bass. Earthwood did make a soildbody guitar. I was just going for the closest thing i could think of in that timeframe...
Members Newget Posted July 18, 2005 Author Members Posted July 18, 2005 Unfortunately I haven't seen it yet. He told me about the bass over the weekend and said stop by to see it soon. I'll have to get some details.Thanx
Members sunburstbasser Posted July 18, 2005 Members Posted July 18, 2005 I'd steal it if it really is an early production Music Man. Maybe hes a few years off? Or it could be an '83.
