Members nishich Posted July 18, 2005 Members Posted July 18, 2005 I would like to add a 2x10 cab to my rig, (I got 1x15) so with this price (199$) you cant find anything similar. Has anyone tried behringer ba210 or bb210, how they sond?
Members illidian Posted July 18, 2005 Members Posted July 18, 2005 I tried the one with Aluminum cones, the 4x10 version. Really harsh highs with the aluminum. Couldn't slap it at all. Lows sucked, mids weren't as present as I like. And the Backline 2x10 right next to it was louder and cheaper. Yes, GK's budget 2x10 is louder than Behringer's 4x10. And my 2x10 can stomp the Behringer 8x10 in everything but stage prescense. That's about what I payed for my Genz-Benz LS-210T. E-mail Jim at http://www.ecmusic.net (also, http://www.electriccitymusic.com ) or anyone at http://www.theguitarfactory.com for a price quote. Both prices should be fairly reasonable. The low-down on the Genz cab:Rear ported, two rear ports. I don't have to put it right next to a wall to get a good sound. It has a high roll-off point (65Hz, -3dB) but since you have a 1x15 already it shouldn't be a problem. It's articulate and punchy with a nice little mid-bump in the lower mids. Light at 49 pounds, but 18" deep make it hard to carry even with the low weight. If you want something more tried-and-true, Dave at http://avatarspeakers.com or Marc at http://drbasscabs.com are forum favorites.
