Hopefully myself will be recieving a nice new (used) sansamp in a week and a while... finally sold my old gu*tar amp, so I figured a sansamp was a good place to toss the cash...

I'll be running it into my SWR 350, hopefully for some extra grit and dirt. I think such big names as mikgag use a similear setup.

So now my rig looks like this:

Sansamp --> SWR 350 --> Avatar 2x10 + SWR Big Ben...

now all I need is a decent bass, and I'll be all set.... I guess the leftover $100 goes into the ric fund!

Haha!

I just bought a sansamp last weekend to use in front of my SWR bass 350!!!

What a coinkydink!

Yes, it makes the amp sound HEAPS better!!!

I just leave everything on the sansamp at 12 oclock, except for the presence (about 10 oclock, the level (1 oclock) and the blend (1 oclock)...

I now get EVEN BETTER bottom end and nice crispy highs.... mmm

Do I get to slay the survivor?

Mine's run through the FX loop of an SWR Workingman's 15 so that the sound guy doesn't have to mess with my tone.

word of caution: if you're doing the same thing, make sure the sound guy's got a clean phantom power signal. I fried my BDDI once and fortunately I had the original sales ticket and warranty on file to get it fixed. Since then I run it strictly on batteries.

This is gonna be sweet.

RE: phantom/batterys; I'm probably going to (try and) power it the same way I power all my other pedals, with a godlyke power-all. Is this going to work? I can't see how it wouldn't, but you never know...

Yes

Excellent.

Now if only slow ebayers would reply to my emails so I could pay them and get it on the way! :mad::rolleyes:

For the BDDI a power supply or phantom is a must. The worst aspect of the BDDI is the need to unscrew the bottom cover to change the battery.
