Members Zebra
Something I posted on another forum. Thought you might be interested. The Subway diet. Man, I'm sure that must be great. Well, Subway, lets look at your backbone example of this miracle diet.Jared Fogle was a 425 pound waddling fat man that ate a daily intake of three medium-sized children and a dog. This miracle diet he devised himself, with no medical consideration, consisted of two sandwiches a day and some chips as well as strenuous waddling. That's less than what I'd say an average person eats. So he converted overnight from a diet of eating a la Ruben Studdard to less than a normal intake of food? He must've starved!Damn right he starved himself. Starving people makes them loose weight? Why didn't someone tell me! Well, at least those sandwiches are really healthy, I mean, nothing like other fast food. It's a good thing they're "lacking in necessary nutrients to preserve a healthy body, mind, energy levels and perhaps even consciousness."The miracle of this diet is that he didn't die. Take that into consideration, Subway, next time you have little kids sporting their former pants with backgrounds of flowy fields of flowers that would be better suited for a Vagisil commercial. With kids that age, who should not be on a weight diet, it's best to feed them food that can't provide their bodies with nutrients necessary to maintain conciousness.Too bad those skeptics have to resort to spreading rumors that he regained the weight, because there's totally no other reason this diet is totally and utterly completely rediculous. Members Rachel Sampson
You know I was just telling my husband the other day that I'm getting so damn sick of seeing Jared in his stupid Subway commercials. They need to drop him and come up with a much better advertising campaign. Anyway, those sandwiches are only low fat if you don't get the cheese, mayo, and oil&vinegar. The only things it might be light on is vitamins and calcium. But who knows how enriched the bread is?
Members BEAD
Honestly, I don't eat a fully balanced diet. It must not be a big deal, since I'm a friggin genius.
Members tim4003
SUBWAY, eat fresh! Yeah right. The only thing fresh about them other than the bread is they're put together fresh, all the ingredients are pre-packaged!

Members Detox
In 1982 I lost 80 pounds in 4 months by eating 1 Taco Bell Beefy Tostada (since discontinued) and walking 8-16 miles per day. True story. It was a wild ride.

Members Sixgun77
I eat subs for lunch at work 3 or 3 times a week. I get grilled chicken with lettuce and hot peppers on wheat bread, nothing else. Most of the food I eat comes from my kitchen and is grilled/broiled seafood or chicken. I'm overweight because I'm a lazy drunk.
Members Barryj61
Have you ever been in a Subway during lunch hour? At our local one, you better budget MORE than an hour just to get your order. Jared didn't get thin from eating Subway; he got thin because he never got his {censored}ing sandwich.............. Members mrs.shelbass
We had a Doc here in Aus who went on a Mcdonalds diet in response to Sepersize Me, for a current affairs show. He ate Mc's 3 times a day, their low fat "healthy" menu, and did regular light/medium exersise. And he lost a lot of weight and looked good. Can;t remember how much, but it was noticable. He was not a Hutt to start with, but it worked.
Members sunburstbasser
I once slaughtered and ate a fourth of a cow. Damn that was good! That said, I don't know why Subway is so evil for having an annoying spokesperson. Ronald McDonald is at least as whacked as Jared and, to prove that McDonald's isn't good for you, look at Ronald's skin! Its so pale! Something has GOT to be wrong with whatever it is they put in their French fries. I like Subway.

I had Subway tonight too. 12 inch Italian BMT (ham, salami, and pepperoni) on wheat with Lettuce, tomato, onion, a {censored}load of pickle, mayo, oil, vinegar, and salt and pepper. I don't know if it's healthy, but it's way less detrimental than any other fast food. I've eaten at all the big chain sub shops, and I prefer Subway to Blimpie, Quizno's, and the rest. A real deli is still the best, but those aren't exactly plentiful in most areas these days.

Members syrinx
Quoting one junk science article to discredit a junk science commercial is weak. The human brain requires about 90 calories for its normal processes. As far as the nutritional completeness goes- most of the water soluble vitamins are met by the sandwiches, and what is not could be made up on the other meal. No one said you couldn`t take a vitamin pill either jackass!
