Sorry T. Alan and bassman1956...I know it was going to be a secret (that I suggested in the first place), but I just can't help myself.

:)

Hey sludgebass...we're coming to your gig tomorrow night! The gig cancellation for my band(s) on Saturday gives me a little free time. T. Alan, Ms. T. Alan, bassman1956, Ms. Tbroom and I will be in the house bro! We're getting together before the gig for dinner...haven't decided where yet. You may be too busy, but you're more than welcome to join us. Is Ms. Sludgebass coming?

I'm stoked, as I've wanted to catch Unscrewed for a while now.

I'm having a Honey Brown right now.

:)

I'll be firing up a batch of HomeBrew this weekend, having just returned from the supply shop, my arms quite full...

I got enough ingredients to make my late summer Recipe 'House Wheat, It Is' as a 10 gallon batch!

Unfortunately, it probably won't be ready for LoserStock, but if it IS, it's going with me!

Meanwhile I think I'll get a sixer of Blue Moon and a sixer of McEwans Export to sample whilst I'm toiling and boiling in the basement...

An aside, an interesting item was in the beer supply store. It's the Homer Talking Beer Opener:

"MMM....Beer....Yes...Oh Yes...Beeeer....Whoo Hoo.... Ha..Ha...Ha..."

Here's where to get YOURS, today...

"Everyone needs a bottle opener. At least, everyone who wants to open a bottle is likely to need a bottle opener. If you enjoy sitting alone, in your darkened room, drinking beer from a bottle with the curtains drawn and Coldplay on in the background, this is probably not the bottle opener for you. But, on the other hand, if you enjoy a good laugh, like entertaining your friends and are a fan of that eponymous patriarch of America

Here I am......................yikes..............now I feel like I should practice or something....:D

That is hella cool! I imagine we'll probably start around 8:30 or so. Mrs. Sludge will not be making it this time, one time at the Ranch was enough for her, she's not a "bar person" too say the least.;)

oh yeah, I'd love to hook up for dinner, but our guitarist wants to meat at 4 to load up and get out there and setup early................early is good, but 4 hours early?!

One warning, don't expect the Ranch to have many quality brew selections. It's a redneck Miller type of joint!:D

Finally...I can post again.

I'm still scoping places to eat in the area. Any suggestions sludge?

T. Alan and bassman1956...

My wife and I are dropping our kids off with some friends in Sandwich. We can eat in Sandwich or in Plano; they're just a few miles between them. The places that were suggest to me were:

The Taco Plate (maybe 10 tables inside)

Mio Amore (Italian...kinda upscale...may need reservations)

Cafe 34 ("family" style restaurant)

I don't know anything about them personally.

I have no idea. I'll go look at a map.

Edit: Yep. Looks fine. I'm guessing you'll take 23 to 34 which will take you through Sandwich and in to Plano.

Do you want to meet at Mio Amore at ~6pm? It's located at 11 W. John Street. If it doesn't look like the place to eat, we can check out the area. There's supposed to be another Mexican restaurant nearby (not the Taco Plate place) also.

I don't really know what's good and not good out that way. There's a good pizza place in Plano, I went to once, but I forget what it's called...............I know, I'm real helpful, huh?;)
