Members ggoroni
i've just bought Marcus Miller's Silver Rain, while last week a friend of mine gave me Vic's "Soul Circus".....well, IMHO both records are a bit "boring"! i mean, i adore and respect vic and marcus, but this time for the first time while listening to their records i thought "ok, nothing new under the sun".moreover miller's one IMHO sounds a bit too much "home made"!!! esp the hendrix cover, that live is way better (actually last time i saw marcus they played it killer!).anyone agrees/disagrees? Members Craken
I didnt care much for Silver Rain. The whole tone of the album is too sterile, i dont like the programmed drums. Theres a nice version of Sophisticated Lady on there though.

Members bapslap
i agree...i used to be a big Wooten and Miller fan, but i can't get by the cheez factor anymore. The tone of both of the albums are too produced and too "easy listening" sounding....although it's not really easy listening. I bought Soul Circus, listened to it and cringed. It now collects dust on my CD rack.
Members beav2k2
I bought them both and wanted to like them so badly, but it's just overglorified elevator music.

I'll probably love it then... Didn't care much for M2, and live in usa or whatever the name is, isn't really worth buying (I did) wish i had heard it first. Members SpaceGhost
I haven't heard the new Marcus record but I have M2 and dig some of it. His version of "Goodbye Pork pie hat" was one of the first fretless songs I learned but sometimes the record seems a little too him.
