Members Benjamin Posted July 27, 2005 Members Posted July 27, 2005 Since I am Goth and headed to a party of a darkened nature, I thought I would ask if anybody partakes in this?
Members Darkstorm Posted July 27, 2005 Members Posted July 27, 2005 Dude, very few goths drink blood. Very few goths regard vampires as anything other then a kewl symbol or metaphor or fun alter personality. If you find "blood drinking" at a goth party its normaly koolaid pretend. That said lets do a very quick overview of vampires in modern culture. Most are blood fetishists and cant drink more then a small amount without getting sick. regular humans cant metabolize blood well. Beyond that found in nice rare steaks. Or via suckin a accidentally cut finger etc. More modern day vampires regard themself as psychic energy feeders. A semi adoption of chi/ki energy intake from others or ones surroundings. The conscientous? psychic vampire feeds mainly on peeps who wish to dump excess nervous energy etc. I practice a form of psychic vampirism that aims to draw on the universal life energy which people and the surroundings can act as a bridge to. Again its a variation of chikung and other lifeforce energy intake practiced in internal kungfu and some forms of yoga etc. If you have a real interest in the modern state of actual blood &/or energy drinkers you can pm me for some website links to some of the more respected within the community "real" vampire websites. Again, within the goth communities vampires are most often just regarded as a kewl metaphor and symbol. Goths adopted the vampire image, the vast majority know hollywood vampires are all fiction. Blood drinking is not a common practice at goth parties. The vast majority know that blood drinking can be very dangerous due to transmission of disease thru blood. Actual blood drinkers are very careful about whose blood they drink because of this. Its a basic safety issue. Pets his vampyrebunny who fangs a soda can, causeing soda spray into nose, acheww!

Yeah really... Hey I know! Lets make fun of the guy who worships this omnipotent being no one has ever seen, and follows rules written in a thousand year old book. Kind of puts things in perspective when you really think about it...
Members J. Posted July 27, 2005 Members Posted July 27, 2005 I suck it whenever I get a cut or a scrape, but I think almost everyone does that. If I was turned into one of the undead creatures of the night I guess I'd have to then.

I'm sorry, you are right. We should be celebrating the diversity of this forum and accept all religions whether they be Christian, Jewish, Muslim, or Vampirism.

Then you think about all other religions, and how unbelievable the stories and beliefs are. In the end, the existance of Vampires is no more unbelievable than the existance of Jesus, God, Budda, Alla, etc.

Members B-Bottom Posted July 27, 2005 Members Posted July 27, 2005 Bleh Bleh I will suck the marshmellowy goodness from your bowl of count Choculla. Bleh! Personally I adhere to Crunchism. That is where I draw the Crunch Berries out of my bowl via spoon. The sugary goodness fills my being with a sense of worth and completion.

Members bassman1956 Posted July 28, 2005 Members Posted July 28, 2005 WoW! This has been great response for a spoof thread!
Members Darkstorm Posted July 28, 2005 Members Posted July 28, 2005 Lol. Its that very known fictional nature of it, and the sillyness of pretending is vampiric which takes it out of the mystical & serious religion realm and right into the real world use of fantasy as a useful tool. The religious person takes their beliefs all serious. The vampires & a few others know its silly pretend. The kid learning to play bass or guitar will imagine the skills they desire instead of praying to some god for help in learning to play. Thus they help themself improve their ability & potential as a player far more. By utilizing known fantasy and pretend as a useful tool. No self respecting vampire takes themself seriously as a vampire. Religious peeps get all serious with their beliefs. I dont. That would take the fun & value out of it. Kids know they can only fly like superman in fantasy. Yet they fly further in that then most 10 year studants of astral travel. Myself likes the tongue in cheek attitude about belief systems. To me its healthier then taking oneself or even religion, all seriously. Being able to laugh at oneself is good stuff. In kungfu animals often are mimicked. The foolish (imo) studant gets all serious & mystical about doing tiger or whatever. The smarter (imo) studant knows thats simply a pretend tool to help them learn to leap & crouch etc with control & easy strength. Have you ever noticed that those with a higher then average level of vitality also have a more active imagination then most? Its silly & pure pretend to ascribe to the vampire symbol. Thats main part of the why to do it. And its more fun then pretending is a zombie. THey smell bad and parts fall off em. LOL.
Members Benjamin Posted July 28, 2005 Author Members Posted July 28, 2005 Agreed Darkstorm, I don't usually write so much about it though At first I didn't think you got the spoof! I was thinking "Duh he's a blonde Goth!"
Members link wray Posted July 28, 2005 Members Posted July 28, 2005 I quit drinking blood in 1983 because it became impossible to find virgins that are 18+ years of age.
