Members Thunderbroom
One of my bands is playing a party tomorrow night outside. There will be around 100 or so guests. I'm thinking of just taking my GB and 210. Do you think that will suffice or should I pack the 115?
Members The Insomniac
I would think the 210 would do but if it was me I would take them both. The 210 seems a little thin by itself. Anyhow it looks a lot cooler.
Members KeroseneTrewthe
Pack the 115 too.
Members james on bass
Take both cabs. Take the Steinie too. You need it for the cool factor! Especially outdoors, the sound is going to go everywhere, so I think having the thump of the 15" will definitely help the bass sound out. Did I tell you to bring the Steinie? Members Emprov
I think that you'd be fine with the 210. I've played a few outdoor gigs with 210 pushed but around 300w and it always worked fine. True, the sound disperses but the volume doesn't go down. Think of it as giving the low end room to run. Members timmerz
Outdoors?Low B used quite a bit? No brainer.....use both cabs.....You'll be a LOT happier with your sound.... Trust me on this one......
Members SpaceGhost
I'm going to echo everyone and say go and bring both cabs. If it gets too loud, you can always turn up. You don't want to end up where you can barely hear yourself.
Members Narcosynthesis
i will echo everyone and say take both worst case tyou take them all and only use one, better than taking one and wishing you had both David
Members sludgebass69
outdoors, I'd definitely go with both cabs. The 15 will give you a nice long range boom that will annoy the neighbors.....
Members Bluescout
I would definitely bring and setup both. The cool factor is always in effect and you can always turn down a bit. If you're on any kind of wood platform or floor, keep both cabs on the floor. Mo bass is mo better

CMS Author Craig Vecchione Posted July 30, 2005 CMS Author Share Posted July 30, 2005 You never mentioned, and nobody asked: what sort of PA support will be there? If you've got good PA, you're running your bass in it and can bring along whatever you want as your stage monitor. If not, bring everything you've got, and borrow some more. Members MageZ
Then bring the 15" too. It should be perftect together.
Members J the D
Both. The 15 is going to have a lot longer throw than the 10s.
Members Thunderbroom
Got both of them packed and leaving in about 10 minutes. We're playing about 90 minutes from my home. The plan is to get there at 4:30p, soundcheck between 5:00p and 5:30p, have dinner at 6:00p, and play at 7:00p.

The 2x10 should be fine by itself, but taking the 1x15 won't hurt.
Members bnyswonger
I never leave home without my 15"s...
Members Deville
Your 2x10 wouldl be working awfully hard to fill up the bottom all alone. Outdoor gigs are the main reason you have a 15" cab. I'm surprised this question even came up.
Members flatcat
I always use my 15 and my 2x10 when playing outside. Bring bug spray. You'll be sorry if you don't.
