Members ARES
Naturals, translucents, and bursts. Although my solid blue Sterling was my color of choice for that one, probably because the first Sterling I lusted after was the exact same color. Don't like gold hardware or fancy tops (quilted, flamed, etc).

Members bassplayinguy
my favorite is Lake Placid Blue with a white pearl pg i also really like natural finish basses (which my spector has) and cant go wrong with a 3 tone sunburst or tobacco burst my next bass is gonna be a Sunburst, just cause a jazz bass looks so cool with that finish and my guitarist has one on his ES so it will match
Members el_duderino676
on certain basses, natural on a 51 p, butterscotch blonde on a g&l or les paul, chery sunburst on a jazz, vintage white or three color sunburst on a modern p, lake placid blue on a high end custom, blue or green burst sometimes swirled jobs catch my fancy though

Members JC Bass
Pretty much anything blue. Especially a translucent blue on a figured maple. I have noticed that I'm drawn to black with tort pickguards, too.

Members Undertoad
I'm the one person who doesn't really like sunburst. To each his own. If I had the dough, almost all the transparent dye colors look great on a great piece of wood. Blue, green, purple, even orange looks classy in transparent dye. JC, the Warmoth gallery has a bunch of J-basses in transparent dye blue on maple that are just awesome.

(see above) My LB-100, and my Baritone Dano would be different colors if they came stock that way... They've earned their places though. White, Black, Silver, Sparkle, Swirl, Trans. colors... All good. Figured woods don't do anything for me unless it's a beautiful top, or a flamed neck.. (Which my LB-100 has... Everybody has a weak spot... I still prefer the colors on the RD's and the Ric, and Cutlass... And the Swirl G&L kicks ass.

Members Markee
For me it totally depends on the model. Gibson LP Cherry BurstTele Vintage White- black Pickguard w/ maple neckGretsch Tangerine P-Bass Natural (if Ash) White or Black w/oppostie color PGJazz Lake Placid Blue w/ White pickguard Hororable mention, a Lull in Shoreline gold w/ white PG and maple neck is awefully sweet!MM Trans-you name it! w/maple neck ooh, la, la.....Boutique's Natural burl/contrasting woods IMO white is the best color for onstage work as it stands out, takes on whatever colored light it has shined on it and looks best when wearing black or dark colored clothes. It seems the older I get the less important how an insturment looks becomes....
Members fureybass
Bursts. If everything I owned was a tobacco sunburst, I would probably not complain. Although a translucent amber on ash or maple, mmmmm
