Members bassman76
Hey there I currently play a 5 string Ibanez EDB 605 Model guitar. I like the versatility that a five string offers but I am not a big fan of the wider neck. I have heard of some bass players who restring a four srting bass using the string combination B-E-A-D. Is there someone out there who has done this? Let me know how it worked out.

Didn't even have to adjust the trussrod, just bumt the intoation a tiny bit. http://users3.ev1.net/~woodd/peaveyt40.mp3 http://users3.ev1.net/~woodd/huntforboalg.mp3 These are kinda low sample rate recordings though. Members BEAD
My peavey millennium in BEAD as well. I didn't have to adjust the truss rod either, although I had to adjust the intonation. B string is rather tight due to the through bridge and 35 scale, I imagine. The strings fit in the existing nut even.
Members jbryant8159
Recently strung up my SX P/J in BEAD and like the others the only change was some intonation adjustment. I did have to widen the nut slot on the B and lowered the saddle height a bit on that fat boy too. Something I already needed to do with standard tuning and a .105 E string. Everything else just fell into place pretty effortlessly.
Members NUTT
I had an '81 Ibanez strung B-D. I had to file the nut a little wider, and adjust the pups, bridge, and intonation just a hair each. It worked well.
