Members J. Posted August 3, 2005 Members Posted August 3, 2005 I have a friend who wants to add another harddrive to his system but doesn't have an empty bay in his PC. What's a good HD enclosure? I'm thinking he'll just get a less expensive drive, not one of those newer SATA jobbies. It'll basically be used for MP3 storage.
Members LeBraniac Posted August 3, 2005 Members Posted August 3, 2005 I'm not even sure what you are talking about...but thought I'd post in and see if someone else will grab on who does.....
Members bassplayinguy Posted August 3, 2005 Members Posted August 3, 2005 if its just for MP3s then just get the one that looks tough and runs on usb, thats pretty much all you need. not really anything special if its not gonna be for some high speed task
Members TwYzTyR Posted August 3, 2005 Members Posted August 3, 2005 I got this one and paired it with a 160GB Maxtor drive. I couldn't be happier with it.
Members megadan Posted August 3, 2005 Members Posted August 3, 2005 pfft, why buy a seperate enclosure and go to all the trouble of mounting it in, cables, etc., when you can just get an external HD? http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=1111207
