Ridgefield? Never been there, but I do know that the high school's mascot is the Spudders. Some potato farmers in the area, from what I understand.
Members 1tallbassguy Posted August 12, 2005 Members Posted August 12, 2005 I grew up not too far away from where this once stood. The sign now stands at a restaurant museum down the street. I actually watched Gilley's burn down.
Members Dragoon Posted August 12, 2005 Members Posted August 12, 2005 I actually grew up in French Creek, rural Ettrick, Trempealeau County, but have no pics with me of the farm I grew up on. Parents split and I moved to Blair (5-6 miles away) at 14. Here's a site with a bunch of pics: http://www.trempealeaucountytourism.com/Blair,%20Wisconsin_files/Blair.htm Small town America, baby! I didn't appreciate growing up there as much then as I do now. A wonderful place, as is the county and the rest of western WI (I'm still there, only 40 or so miles south).
Members crabfunk Posted August 12, 2005 Members Posted August 12, 2005 Bellingham, Washington, northwest corner of the state, about a half-hour from the Canadian border. Lots of water: Where this happens a lot: This is a big deal: http://www.boomkak.com/bakerblues/, where I took this picture -- and many of us can't wait for this:
