My town is useless, so heres a picture of the huge dirt clod 10 miles away.

Monument.jpg

It actually looks a lot bigger than that from my bedroom window. Its really quite large and the only really striking thing about the Flathandle.

Here's a shot from the foothills above town looking back in the direction of the first picture and out over the plains. The big red rocks you can see in both pictures (in the distance for the second one) are called The Garden of the Gods, and the mountain is Pikes Peak.

Now I live in DC.

where I spent the first 18 years of my life

As an extremely dumb dumbass punk teenager, I rolled a tractor tire off that hill in the back ground and smashed a guys shed and crushed the fender of his car. Could have killed somebody....sheesh

This is a very good link for an inside look at my town.

Now I live in Zachcity....frickn' mile hi every day baby....mile hi....

Biggest thing in Davis is the University. This is one of the University-run buses pulling into the main bus terminal on campus.

I live in some of the most beautiful country in the world. Imagine all the pictures of colorado. There's parts around here like that...then there's the prairies which I love. I'll try to find some pictures. If you've never seen a prairie sunset, then you're missing out. Trust me. Some amazing things up here.

My house:

My barn:

2148barn.jpg

There's a stop light two miles west, and a four-way five miles east, which is also two miles from the Inerstate.

Behind us there's 350 acres pf beans (this year; last year it was corn) .

THe house was built somewhere around 150 years ago; the barn dates to the '30s. (Nobody really knows for sure, but it has something to do with the fact there is no zoning in my Township and my 2300 sf home on 1.5 acres with the 3200 sf barn and a 2400 sf garage (not pictured) costs me about $1k in taxes each year, where my brother's 876 sf house on 1/10th ac with a 1200 sf garage costs him about 1.1k/yr in taxes.)

I actually live about 5 minutes outside London, but was born and lived most of life in London.

James, what area outside? I lived just down the 401 near Chatham until '97.

Can't find any pics of my city. :( Our claim to fame: Plymouth used to be known as the "Cheese Capital of the World"---worldwide wholesale cheddar cheese prices used to be set here in the early & mid 20th century before eventually ending up in Chicago, where it is known today as the Chicago Mercantile Exchange. There are still alot of cheese plants in the area...in fact, my wife and I work at competing plants. Makes for interesting dinner table fodder.

Here's my pad:
