Members Reverend179 Posted August 11, 2005 Members Posted August 11, 2005 I'm sore all over and I think I've got a bruised rib. Yes, it was a good show. Unfortunately I missed the local Portland openers, but I got there just in time for Trivium's set. A-{censored}ing-mazing, I tell you. They had a few technical difficulties, but these kids gave one hundred and ten percent and personally I think they turned a lot of heads. Next up was In Flames. They were good, despite not being able to hear any vocals. They only played two or three songs from Reroute To Remains and Soundtrack To Your Escape, so that's good. I sat down for Ill Nino's set, I'm not really a big fan. Shadows Fall was next, and MAN, they blew the place apart. There was a mosh pit that was just about as wide as the stage and probably twice as deep. Just nuts. Great showmanship, excellent playing, and they got weed chucked at them from about twelve different places. And then we sat for fourty five {censored}ing minutes while Mudvayne were supposed to be on. When they did finally come on, they were amzing. Ryan's bass playing...sweet jesus. Some of the craziest stuff I've seen live, and while I wasn't a huge fan, I plan on picking up a few CD's now. After that, there was another long wait for Disturbed but we didn't stick around. All in all, it was a great show, there was about fourty different pairs of tits flashed in my face, plenty of beer and good music!
Members Mofopotomus Posted August 12, 2005 Members Posted August 12, 2005 Man, you left before Disturbed? That sucks, they were my favorite of the day. Though it did take me a good hour to get out of the parking lot...so ya never know, you might have made the right decision.

They completely killed it for me. It took us about two minutes to get out of the parking lot and everyone in my group were so tired that we couldn't even fathom staying for another set.
Members Mofopotomus Posted August 12, 2005 Members Posted August 12, 2005 well then it's all good . I was a little scared I was going to fall asleep behind the wheel when I finally got out of their.

It's entirely possible, there was one point where there were like eight chicks on guy's shoulders all making out with each other in front of the side stage area where the chicks in bikinis were. You never know!
Members Markee Posted August 12, 2005 Members Posted August 12, 2005 Yeah, Portland has a pretty good music scene not unlike Seattle.
